Local & Family Owned – Distinctive Rug Cleaning is locally owned and operated by Alan & Audrey Falls. Your rugs are not subcontracted to another company. We clean all rugs at our local Fort Wayne facility. Our service is professional, friendly & convenient.
Education & Experience – Alan has been in the textile cleaning industry full time since 2000. He is an IICRC Certified Master Textile Cleaner and completed the WoolSafe Fiber Care Specialist Course. Alan & Audrey are Master Rug Cleaners. Distinctive Rug Cleaning is a member of the Association of Rug Care Specialists. We have traveled to study rug cleaning and tour other rug washing facilities and brought the best care practices back to Fort Wayne.
Cleaning Method & Specialized Equipment – We don’t take your rugs and steam clean them the same way we clean wall-to-wall carpet. Rugs are full immersion washed, so the front, back, inside and out will be thoroughly cleaned. Your rug is not sent through an automated machine where each rug is given generic treatment. Instead, we carefully inspect each rug prior to cleaning and then wash each rug individually, based on each rug’s specific needs. Our highly specialized facility and equipment assist us in each step to thoroughly clean your rug. Our professional cleaning solutions and techniques prevent problems and provide excellent results.

How To Get Your Rug Cleaned By Distinctive Rug Cleaning
1. Get an estimate based on the size of your rug. Options include:

- Bring your rug to our facility at 2401 Pennsylvania Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46803. Watch our rug drop off video here.
2. Get your rug to our facility. Choose from 3 options:
– Cash & Carry – Save 20%
You may drop your rug off at our facility anytime with our convenient self-serve option and save 20% off our normal cleaning price. Learn tips here to easily transport your rug.
– Ready To Roll – Includes Pickup & Delivery
Call, Text, or Email us to schedule a pick up when we are in your area.
If you have ALL furniture moved off of the rugs and they are ready to roll up or rugs are rolled up in the garage or front porch, we can pick up & deliver them back to you. This option is included in our normal cleaning price if you live inside Allen County, Indiana and your order is over the minimum of $250 (If less than $250, use the cash and carry option.) Minimum and additional trip charge apply to areas outside of Allen County, Indiana.
– The Works – Furniture Moving and Pickup & Delivery
We will document the location of your rug and furniture, move your furniture, remove the rug from your home and take it to our facility for cleaning. This premium option is priced by the job, so we will request photos for an estimate. We can also refer a furniture moving company if necessary.
3. Inspection & Payment
- At our facility, your rugs are tagged with your information, inspected for pre-existing conditions, photos and measurements are taken.
- A final estimate and recommendations are sent to you for approval.
- At least 50% of the cleaning cost, plus your approval must be received in order to begin the cleaning process.
- Once this is received, your rug will typically be completed within 2 weeks. During our busy season (May-December) and/or if your rug has challenging stains to remove or repairs to complete, it may take longer. If your rug needs returned sooner than 2 weeks, a rush fee will apply. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, ACH, and P2P payments without a fee or credit card payments with additional 3% charge.

- You will be contacted when your rug is ready to be picked up from our facility or to schedule a delivery to your home. Additional storage fees apply after 30 days.
